I'm also sorry about all the money people had to spend to undo the loving commitments celebrated by gay people in California. And to think after spending all those millions of dollars you might lose your tax exempt status...

I very much doubt the CA. Supreme Court will go along with nullifying the marriages that took place in the interim between their ruling in favor of gay marriage and the November referendum.
Those marriages were wholly legal contracts at the time they were entered into and I very, very much doubt the courts will find it possible to set those aside. I'm not an attorney, but my understanding is that the Federal Constitution explicitly forbids that sort of after the fact nullification.
I'm with you, RC, I don't think they will nullify those marriages...so at least in some respect, CA still has same-sex marriage.
